The British Council is seeking to sign a consultancy agreement with an English in Education Systems consultant in Libya.  This consultancy is designed to reconnect with English language teachers, teacher-trainers, and those with a policy role in English language teaching and learning in Libya, understanding needs, planning and implementing initiatives, and reporting on the effectiveness and lessons for the future.

Role overview

The consultant will work with British Council Libya colleagues and technical specialists in MENA on the following deliverables: 

  • Connecting with teachers of English 
  • Professional development for English teachers and teacher-trainers 
  • Thought leadership
  • Reporting and evaluation 
  • Constructive working with a regional network

The successful candidate will be based in Tripoli, Libya. Access to office space and/or remote working arrangements are available.
