The British Council Libya is seeking to contract experienced capacity building experts to deliver a capacity building programme supporting civil society organizations (CSOs) to build upon their existing local relationships and enhance their collaborative working through an inclusive lens. This will contribute to the project Result Area 3 by strengthening CSOs’ skills in engaging in initiatives with multiple actors.

Role overview

The expert(s) will work with the project team leader and the Civil Society Capacity Building Consultant, to co-deliver a capacity building programme that enhances collaborative engagement between local actors. This includes ensuring i) the capacity building programme is tailored to the needs and experience of local CSOs, ii) there is a strong pathway to monitor change, and iii) there are clear recommendations for project iterative learning. It also includes mentoring CSOs as they seek to apply in practice their new skills through implementation of project proposals. The expert(s) will report to the project Team Leader and work in close collaboration with the Civil Society Capacity Building Consultant.
